Noguchi Kumataro Tea Garden (Noguchitokutarosyoten Co., Ltd.), our company, was founded in 1874 in Sashima-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture by Kumataro Noguchi, the first generation of tea growers, and we are now in our fifth generation. Sashima-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture, has long flourished as a tea production area in the northern part of Japan, and its tea is now called Sashima-cha. Sashima-cha became the first Japanese tea exported to the United States in 1859 through negotiations with Townsend Harris, the first U.S. Consul General in Japan.

We are committed to creating a new tea culture while carefully preserving the traditions and techniques that have been cultivated over five generations. Our products feature the Highest Quality Unique Textured Japanese Washi Paper, which showcases various traditional Japanese designs such as Plums, Pine, Cherry Blossoms, Chrysanthemums and Hagi, Irises, Arabesques, Bamboo and Waves.

The Japanese Tea Tin that we offer expresses how Gold and Silver Strips Shine and Scatter on a Piece of Japanese Washi Paper, creating a visually stunning and elegant presentation. The Outer Lid is Curled Inward, and It Opens and Closes Smoothly and Has Excellent Airtightness. In addition, the Boundary between the Lid and the Torso is Flat, Giving it a Luxurious Feel.

To ensure the freshness and quality of our loose tea, our tea tins feature Air-tight Outer Metal Lid and Food-grade Inner Lid that Preserve Loose Tea for a Long Period. The size of the tea tin is 155mm (H) - 76mm (D), with About 200g of Loose Tea.

All of our products are Made in Japan, reflecting the dedication and craftsmanship of our team in preserving the rich tea-growing heritage of the Sashima region. As we continue to evolve and innovate, we remain committed to sharing the unique flavors and traditions of Sashima-cha with tea enthusiasts around the world.
