Founded in 1874 in Sashima-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture, our company, Noguchi Kumataro Tea Garden (Noguchitokutarosyoten Co., Ltd.), was founded by the first generation of tea growers, Kumataro Noguchi, and we are now in our fifth generation. Sashima-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture, has long flourished as a tea production area in the northern part of Japan, and its tea is now called Sashima-cha. Sashima-cha became the first Japanese tea exported to the United States in 1859 through negotiations with Townsend Harris, the first U.S. Consul General in Japan. We will create a new tea culture while carefully preserving the traditions and techniques that have been cultivated over five generations.

This product features the Highest Quality Unique Textured Japanese YUZEN Washi Paper. When You Turn the Outer Lid, It Snaps and Stops at the Position Where the Pattern Matches. The Air-tight Outer Metal Lid and Food-grade Inner Lid Preserve Loose Tea for a Long Period. The product size is 155mm (H) - 74mm (D), with About 200g Loose Tea. Made in Japan.
