The Noguchi Kumataro Tea Garden (Noguchitokutarosyoten Co., Ltd.), founded in 1874 in Sashima-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture, is now in its fifth generation of tea growers. Sashima-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture, has long been a thriving tea production area in the northern part of Japan, and its tea, known as Sashima-cha, was the first Japanese tea exported to the United States in 1859 through negotiations with Townsend Harris, the first U.S. Consul General in Japan.
Our company is dedicated to creating a new tea culture while carefully preserving the traditions and techniques that have been cultivated over five generations. The tea is packaged in Highest Quality Unique Textured Japanese YUZEN Washi Paper, and the outer lid can be turned around to snap into place when the patterns match. The air-tight Outer Metal Lid and Food-grade Inner Lid work together to preserve the Loose Tea for a long period.
The product dimensions are 155mm (H) - 74mm (D), and the package contains approximately 200g of Loose Tea. The tea is Made in Japan, ensuring the highest quality and authenticity.
